Opened in 1967, this Richard Dattner design kicked off New York's adventure-playground movement, swapping standard equipment for mounds, pyramids, tunnels and mazes, with a water channel running through the sand. Rebuilt in 2015 with accessible surfacing; best suited to school-age kids, and note there are no restrooms on site.
